for those of you with HSBC current a/c's
I thought it would be helpful for you to know that current procedures state that debit interest of less than one pound can be refunded by a CSR without reference or further investigation. ie. they have to do it for you
they will advise that in future no similar refunds will be agreed, but as no investigation has to be made by a CSR, they will be agreed I think!
happy to advise on any other HSBC related matters also

Do they not have a 'note' system in place where refunds will be noted and anyone accessing their file in future will be able to see this and refuse future requests.
Do you work for HSBC?
If you do please be careful as a forum like this is open to anyone to read and info like you have given could be used against you if they were able to identify you.

hi yes thanks for your advice
I am not going to explicitly state that I do work for the aforementioned bank but would point out that I am very close to someone who does and that is where I get my information from.
Plus I don't believe martin is in the business of grassing on posters to banks, nor revealing their identity?0 -
but in reply to your original query, there is a screen where one can see previous refunds, however as no further reference or investigation is required, this would not be looked at0

Some banks have spreadsheets produced by head office showing the percentage of fees refunded. If this happens guess who gets it in the neck??
