Borax and bicarb at Tesco

They don't stock borax in my local Tesco (well, it's a supermarket, not T. local!)

I know as I asked a few weeks ago, when I spotted their bicarb.Cogito, ergo sum.0 -
Hi there-
I went to pick up some Ecover at Tescos last night, and while I was standing there pondering how cheeky they are to market their own brand "not particularly eco but hey, wave a leaf at it, paint the lid green and put it next to ecover" cleaning products, I noticed they now sell 500g boxes of borax and bicarb.
I know these are sometimes hard to track down so hope this helps someone!
Is it really not particularly eco?
I have being buying the bicarb there and the washing up liquid.0 -
I just did a search for the Borax but not coming up. I did get some Soda Crystals for 52p though. I am going to try that in my dishwasher see how it goes. Would save a fortune if it works. xx0

Thanks for this Rosh, I have been looking for Borax. I went to several chemists yesterday and was told that they have stopped making it. I thought it was rather odd as I have seen it in Boots somewhere, and why would they have it as a cleaner in the "Old Style Cleaning" books..
It all seems strange to me, I couldn't get Borax in Wilkos two weeks ago, some story about not stocking it anymore, but I got it at Boots....these stores, they all seem to be changing their story depending on where your local store is.SG0 -

I had a devil of a job getting borax. Kept being told it was on dangerous chemicals list. Like that Isopropyl alcohol all the americans rave about for cleaning. you cant get it here.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
