well of course they can tell you, but I do believe 90% of the mortgages are in the ASSET company, so I wouldn't be surprised if you are in the same boat like anyone on here.
Also I was checking my credit file on experian and with my surprised even it was last update from NR on the 6 of Dec it appears on the name of NR Asset
so they already knew before.0 -
RE Picardygirl: securitisation
Just type type northern rock securitisation or granite into google & you will see lots of info. The way that I understand it is that rock borrowed money using their 'good' mortgages as security, the mortgages are 'technically' then owned by one of the granite companies. Also I forgot to mentiom girl at rock told me that most of customers in the 'good' bank are people who took out a mortgage in the last 12 months................seems that new customers are being viewed as a better risk, this could backfire in a few years time!0 -

Anyone going to set up a petition on the Downing Street website so we can let them know how we feel about above average SVR increases and would like some guarantees.0

Dont see much point in that as we dont actually know the state of play as yet.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Well I am with the Asset Management PLC
The very nice lady said that a rare handful were going to the other company.0 -
I'm not sure what everybody's rush is to get away from NR Asset Management PLC.
NRAM is government owned. The government doesn't like to lose votes. I can 100% assure you that the way to lose my vote would be to increase the NRAM SVR above what it currently stands at. I am planning to vote Labour at the next election as the way they have handled this global crash has been fantastic in my eyes. If they screw me over on my mortage now after all this effort they have put in then I will be forced to vote take my vote elsewhere (anyone but Tory!). Every lost vote for Labour is a vote for the Cons.
Seriously guys. Do you think that Labour will have made so much effort not to lose votes over the past 2 years only to turn round now just before a general election and screw themselves over?
Spot on comment that. I also plan to vote Labour too because the Tories want to privatise the company I work for and that wouldn't be good.
We'll be with NRAM too as our LTV is very high. I'm not concerned about it at the minute though as even though we're now on the SVR we were used to paying the fixed rate of 5.89% so if we could afford it then, we should be able to afford it again! Doesn't mean I'd prefer a rate rise though but at least I know we can afford if it were to happen
We won't be overpaying anything either - or moving house - as I'd rather we saved it up and paid it off in a lump sum if needed!English by birth. GEORDIE by the grace of God.0 -
I don't really understand much of this. I'm with the asset company too. My LTV is about 50%. Am I better getting a mortgage somewhere else?OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

Found out we were Asset co. when got redemption statement. We are 80% LTV with a perfect and long payment record.
We are remortgaging away from them at the end of the month, and they have made a very poor job of communicating this (and other) information to their customers.
Poorly done, NR, poorly done. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
