Has anyone on the NRAM side had any success in getting the online account to work? Since they split mine does not work.

Just wondered if you had to re-apply for it?

    Cheers

I've just called NR to find out whats happened to the online facility and i was told that it has been removed for the time being for both NR plc and NRAM customers. Letters will be coming out in the next few months to instruct customers how to go out about accessing their account details on line again. So i asked if they could tell me my balance over the phone ..... which i have done before, once i have identified myself etc etc, to be told "sorry systems are down" .... good old NR! ;)

edit to add ...... i know someone said on here, NRAM done a credit check on them in December 2008, i have today checked both my and my OH credit today and NRAM did not do a credit check on us before NR split in two.

Yeah, was going to post that last night, i rang them yesterday and was told the same, i got my balance though! The really nice lady said it was a nightmare there as they continuously get calls asking for balances etc, i thought poor thing - that's your job LoL.

I have a question (Forgive me all my docs are at home, so can't reference and our phone are down at work), people who have come off a 5 year fixed rate recently? Mine is due to end July 2011, but my ERC says it will change on the 30/06/10. Now what does it mean by change? does it end or a new lower amount appears?

    Thanks for any help

What significance does a credit check have on you being placed with NRAM?

Err maybe they wanted to run a credit check to decide whether to put someone's debt into the toxic run off side or the new bank PLC?

I just told the date, don't you read?

No - the decision about which company your mortgage goes to isn't based on the credit-worthiness of the individual who took out the loan. It's based on which debts were packaged up and sold on.

Hence all the angry shouting from people with low LTV ratios and good credit histories being banished to the evil NRAM.

Vagiliant22 - Enay posted back on 6 January 2010, i replied to this post saying when i get round to doing a credit check on ourselves i would report back here as to the findings ...... which were NR or NRAM did not do a credit check on us ...... no significance just responding to another NRAM customer (Enay)....... hope that answers your question

the answer charterhouse gave...was what i thot a lot of people were thinking...altho it was wrong............
  • Surely it is a requirement of a bank selling investments and mortgages to demonstrate due diligence to the regulator. under the "Know thy customer" regulations (especially when that bank is government owned). So no wonder they are doing credit checks?
