I get mine for a local chicken farm that sells them in a shed outside. Mine have no stamps on them, but I can see all the red chickens strutting around the field, so I can be pretty sure they are "Happy Hens".

Mine are £1.80 per dozen.

That sounds like me, Steph! Where are you (in case my hens all come down with something)?! We are just outside Sopley so actually in Hampshire though our postal address is still Dorset.

I'm fairly confident about mine. You can see the chicken coops, the eggs still have the chicken $#!+ and feathers on them, the chickens sometimes have to be "shoo'd" out of the farm shop and you have to be careful not to run them over when you reverse in the farm yard. The last time I went there we had to rescue one chicken, which was in the verge outside the farm!

I get mine from a local free range chicken farm.
Chooks are all running around over the place up there.:D
The lady that runs the farm is brilliant.

The prices vary.
I normally get a tray of eggs (30)... and split this with my parents.
I dont normally ask for a specific size, just what she has most of.
Last time I was there it cost me £2.70, for a tray of medium eggs.

I think (although not entirely sure) that organic hens are feed organic food, where as free range hens can be fed non organic food.
Hopefully someone will know for definate.

Yeah that's right, organic are fed organic and are free range too :T

Whereas free range are just free range and are fed non-organic food, still better than the caged ones though!

That happened to me a while back. Bought some eggs which said Farm Eggs, got them home and noticed they were caged...it said that in tiny writing inside the box. So I check properly now.
