I can appreciate your desire to be green, but when a job is THAT mucky what's wrong with value bleach and an old toothbrush? If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

Well Ceridwen - me old pal, me old beauty - geddit? geddit? 6.45 weekdays before tele? Go on, you do....
Congrats and don't you go beating yourself up because you didn't turn a hell hole into an operating theatre in one session! Sounds to me as if it is now cleaner than it has been in YEARS!!!! I can well believe that it took 6 hours to do the basics, if a place is deeply filthy it takes far longer than you could imagine, if you've never done such a thing before.
Aggie and Kim have a team of professional cleaners with all the specialised kit and it takes them a good many hours to get to grips with deep filth.
I felt pain when you said you were going to give up your wine in the pursuit of svelt. I love my glasses of wine - I'm sure if you look hard you can find somewhere else to cut back.
I remember a post where thriftlady said she found eating OS didn't lead to weight loss!!!0 -
Well done you - all I managed today was a little strqightening in the livingroom and a bit of vacuuming - oh yes, I did clean both loos as well. I felt quite pleased with myself, but you've really put me to shame. Hope your friend appreciates your efforts.Resolution:

Well - my first reaction to that was "Ouch! That hurt" - but then I thought maybe what you are trying to say is "Okay - you and I both know why we should all be using eco-friendly cleaning materials. But please explain - in case anyone doesnt - why we should." - in which case, not being technically-minded myself - then I cant do better than put a link kindly given by Charis t'other day to a site that will put it so much better than I can:
www.lowimpact.org/factsheet_natural_cleaners.htm
I seem to recall the Friends of the Earth website has a section on this too.
I guess its easy to assume everyone is aware of the reasons these days and that the only "question" left on the table now is how to ensure that everyone has access to eco-friendly cleaning materials (ie they are available and affordable) - but maybe I have been assuming a "step too far".0
