Been travelling so haven't had access to this for a bit.
They tried the same tack with me. It seems to be "standard banking practice" to debit before credit even though the actual timing of the transaction is the other way round. Personally I wouldn't mind being charged if I was not in credit but when I make the effort to credit the account to ensure funds are available and they advertise my balance as being able to make the payment then I get a bit narked when they charge me for exceeding my overdraft.
Anyway...as I've said...problem solved and they've accepted they were wrong. :j0
