Occupational Health Conflict of Interest!

Help! I'm off sick with stress and depression and within three days of going on the sick I was referred to Occupational Health. No problem there, but, my bosses husband is the Manager of the Occupational Health Department. At my initial appointment with their counsellor I questioned him on this and he said that even if I asked for confidentiality the bosses husband would have access to the records as part of her duties. He was so concerned that he cancelled my next appointments. My employer is still pursuing the occupational health route. Can anyone advise on what I can do???

You really need to get a trade union involved. Been there with this scenario in the past. In my opinion this is ethically wrong and must be resisted, you will need support as this is not a trivial matter to put right.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Thanks, problem is I'm not in a union. Two NHS doctors I've seen and a NHS counsellor as well as the OH counsellor have also said that this isn't right but doesn't help when I'm basically being pushed into seeing their doctor yet again and being quizzed as to why the OH counsellor cancelled my counselling sessions, even though I've asked for confidentiality.0
