Getting a new debit card question

Hi. My debit card has a crack through the middle of the chip so i need to get a new one. I can order a new card online and it says that the card will remain valid for the next 5 days and i will recieve my replacement card within 7 working days.

What i would like to know is would any pending money, e.g. money ive withdrawn from a betting website still go into my account even if i get my new card before the transaction has been processed.

Also would i need to tell my work about me changing my card or will all the details they need to pay me still be the same?
If anyone could answer these questions it would be a great help.

thanks.

Mine used to split all the time, and I used to get it replaced without any problems.

The replacement is just that, a replacement of your old card, not a new issue of a card.
  • so it doesnt amek a difference about the things im worried about? as the account numbers still the same and the only difference with my new card is that it will have a new number so any websites i used my old card on il need to register my new card on?
  • Your account will work as normal so you are still able to recieve payments fine, It doesnt matter what the card number is the only thing you might need to do is re- register your card on certain websites as you will get a new security number (the last 3 digits on the signature strip) and you mentioned you would get a new number across the front of your card, if you dont update the websites they will decline your card due to this.
