Mis Sold Mortgage,Adviser Gone?

My question is I was told that my edownment would pay off the mortgage in 1994 but now the advsor is no longer there nor the estate agents, what would be my next step in complaining?

    You should ask the insurance company for details of the servicing agent .. and take it from there , if no joy in tracing a live firm then refer to http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/

    Oops - perhaps I should say that the servicing agent may not always be responsible for the sale, but anyway its a good start ( so ask Insurance company if they know the name/ whereabouts of the selling agent)

    That said - if it was a tied agent, the insurance company may actually have to deal with any complaints/ review
