Medion Laptop - Online At Woolworths (merged)

I don't want to sound a pessimist, but one good thing about Woolies is that if you buy something and it breaks, they don't seem to care if it's a computer or a toy. Just pop in with your bill, and chances are they'll just replace it.
Whereas my personal experience of comet/pcworld/etc.etc is that the whole business will be a complete nightmare - offers to repair the product, months spent doing so, product returned still broken........
And, whilst not wishing to sound unkind, since when ever I visit comet/pcworld/etc.etc. and ask a question about a product, the staff normally read me the information on the price tag, I don't think by shopping at Woolies you are missing out on much customer service.0 -
Any idea how much this weighs?0

Just seen a Dell Inspiron 1200 from Europc for £316.08. It is refurbished but comes with a 6month warranty.
http://www.europc.co.uk/home.aspx?ProductDetailID=1&ProductID=37907
The system looks pretty good and a new version would cost £479 from Dell0 -

If you had any problems with the laptop you are within your rights to take it back too Woolworths even after 28 days and get them to arrange a repair, replacement or refund.0 -

Click Here for the details of this item which is for sale at 50% off
or alternatively Click Here to goto the original thread which suggests a way to get it for £359.99...... Doh!!0 -
...if you do it through the 10% link. It takes it down to £404.99 but then they add £14.99 for delivery (don't know why as its not heavy or a 2 man load). Still then it's £419.980
