I don't want to sound a pessimist, but one good thing about Woolies is that if you buy something and it breaks, they don't seem to care if it's a computer or a toy. Just pop in with your bill, and chances are they'll just replace it.

Whereas my personal experience of comet/pcworld/etc.etc is that the whole business will be a complete nightmare - offers to repair the product, months spent doing so, product returned still broken........

And, whilst not wishing to sound unkind, since when ever I visit comet/pcworld/etc.etc. and ask a question about a product, the staff normally read me the information on the price tag, I don't think by shopping at Woolies you are missing out on much customer service.

Just seen a Dell Inspiron 1200 from Europc for £316.08. It is refurbished but comes with a 6month warranty.
    http://www.europc.co.uk/home.aspx?ProductDetailID=1&ProductID=37907
The system looks pretty good and a new version would cost £479 from Dell

If you had any problems with the laptop you are within your rights to take it back too Woolworths even after 28 days and get them to arrange a repair, replacement or refund.
