The best thing you can do is speak to CCCS again as they know your full circumstances.
We need a bit more information. Is the £1 a holding position until you make longer term monthly offers to your creditors or is it the longer term monthly offer?? Will CCCS be running your DMP or are you planning on running it yourself?£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

What about requesting a CCA and notice of assignment from the ones that say no ? Surprising how many people have found that these have been lost or just do not exist.0

Hi HC,
As the saying goes “That Old Chestnut” this is something creditors often come back with when people are making token payments. The point of token payments is a goodwill gesture so it’s not aiming to pay the debts off. As I don’t have your details in front of me I cant advice fully on your situation but generally token payments are good until there is a change in you situation i.e. income increase, household arrears cleared etc basically until there is more money available to offer the creditors. Once there is more money available we can look at other options such as a DMP where CCCS could distribute the payments for you this is something to work towards.
In the meantime stick to your guns! Only pay them £1 if that’s what your counsellor has advised. If they are calling you, ask them to remove your number from their database. You are doing the best thing for yourself at the moment and try not to let them bring you down!I am a Debt Counsellor that works for the CCCS and have specific permission from Martin, to post on these boards to try and help those in debt. Read more information on the CCCS and what it does in the Debt Problems: What to do and where to get help article.
CCCS is a registered charity, and there is no charge whatsoever for any of the services we provide to our clients. We take great pride in offering first class help and advice, but we only offer this where we have been able to fully explore and understand your circumstances with you. We want to help you understand these choices and their possible implications but not make them for you.

Just wanted to make sure that you are sending the £1 payments even if they don't accept them keep sending them. It shows you are willing and trying your best.0
