in Cutting tax
Hello,
I do not normally post on this part of the forum, so please be kind
I have a full time job, which I pay tax on a PAYE basis.
However, I have a second job cleaning the office and also another job with AQA. I now need to register as self employed for these two extra jobs.
Am I able to register and then have two self employed jobs? Do I just need the one form and then one return (in due course)?
Many thanks

Yes you are and just fill in both the employment and self employment sections of the tax return. Please note you will be responsible for class 1 NI on your PAYE job, class 2 NI (£2.20 pw) on your self-emplyed jobs and possibbly clas 4 NI if your self-employed jobs profits are above about £5K, you will be exempt from class 2 and therefore class 4 NI if your self-employed income is below about £4.5k, you need to apply for exemption though .Sorry not sure of the exact figures as this is off the top of my head0

Thank you so much for your reply.
Where you say I will be responsible for class 1 NI on my PAYE job, does that mean that my employer will not carrying on doing that as they do now?0 -
No sorry I meant that you will still have to pay your class 1 NI, they will carry on dedeucting it as they are already doing.0
