Bridesmaid dress help!

Yes I'm still having trouble with my bridesmaids dresses.

I thought I had cracked it last week and was going to have matching adult and child dresses from Jewlz.

That was until I finally got all their measurements.
BM1 works out to be age 2 round and age 6 for height
BM2 is age 6 round and age 10 height
BM3 is size 10 top and size 16 bottom

To make it more difficult 2 of them live on the opposite sides of Scotland and I live in Lincolnshire so its not even easy to get them together to have them made.

Can anyone suggest anywhere that does small bridesmaids dresses for skinny children - I do know that I should be pleased that DD is skinny :T but its no help to me right now.

I know BHS does 2 piece dresses for adults but want a lilac type colour.

Any help would be gratefully received especially if its not going to end up costing me a fortune.......................

Could you get the dresses in the right size for height and then have them altered and taken in around the middle?

Thank you for that suggestion but OH wants all 3 in the same dress so would be a problem for the adult one.

I think this is going to be the only option. Can see me travelling up and down the country getting this sorted.

I thought I was an odd shape but ended up being a "normal" size. I was hoping for hassle free shopping but its just not gonna be like that. My bridesmaids are giving me more headaches than anything else. Whose day is it? :rotfl:

  • Update on my bridesmaid nightmare.

Have got DD to recheck her measurements. She wears size 12 jeans so no way she can be a 43 inch hip! She now turns out to be between a size 10 and size 12.

have contacted Jewlz about their sizing and am going to make an appointment to go and have a look as I only live about an hour away. Does anyone want to know anything while I'm there.

i did check their delivery timescales and if you want something that they have to make they are currently working to delivery by the end of June which is roughly 16 weeks away. Scary how close my wedding is getting when you look at it like that!

Can you go instead of me? LOL

I detest shopping and am gutted that I am having to visit a shop rather than ordering online. DD is nowhere near their size chart so she needs to try on. Wish I was tall and skinny like her. She's 8 next week and only 8 inches shorter than me. It looks like she may need an age 10 for height and a spare person to fill the dress out :rotfl:

If I remember my camera (forgot to take it when went to venue so not much hope here) I will take some pics. I do have some fabric samples already so have an idea of colour.
