Well I do hope you all take the translations from this site with a pinch of salt, the results can be quite comical, as the longer and more complicated a sentence is, the more it gets translated literally word for word which makes for a complete nonsense translation. I put in kdcare's sentence to be translated into German and nearly fell off my chair laughing. I once saw a hotel website which seemed to be translated using babelfish or the like - it was complete gobbledegock.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

best fun is writing a sentence or some paragraph then translating it to some language like portuguese, or even french, then back to english and seeing how unordered the thing is and how some words change or are missing.

    portuguese and back

_ better amusement est escrev a sentence or some paragraph then translates some language as, or French uniform Portuguese, then it stops backwards English and v as unordered thing est and as some missing word mud or est

it knows these portuguese words, it put them there, why cant it translate back?

Even when you do the English to Alt Language and then back to English the result you get can never be read properly if your not fluent as the structure of another language is different to english in some cases.

For example we might say The bus is green, and in French they may say red is the bus colour.

    <-- is waffling.

    https://www.freetranslation.com is another good one

Speaking as someone who paid over 40K for translations services last year.
All of the automated translations systems are dire, and while the results may be useful for GSCE standard translations, they are useless in the real world.
  • TYVM for the link OP ;)
