Default notices should give you a set time (14 days normally) to act to rectify the default.

See: I have received a default notice - what should I do?

Normally it's best to try and deal with it, or at least make an offer of token payments.

Is there any particular reason to ignore it?

    Ignore it then. :)

The worst thing the could do is get a CCJ (and they might not even have time for that), which the bankruptcy order would wipe out anyway.

    Save for the fees.

It won't be wiped exactly, but the BR order will override it.

That is, unless it is for a debt that can't be included in your bankruptcy. Student loan arrears for one example.

Sorry to be rude, but can I ask why you are waiting until April to go bankrupt?

I agree, if you are going bankrupt then the default doesn't matter really.

you're not being rude, i get my work bonus in april/june and that is the only way i will be able to afford the BR fees.

    Hi there Debtless,

Just to second the advice so far - you can ignore the default notice if you are going bankrupt in the near future. Just make sure you keep on top of your post in case any of your creditors do decide to take the debts to County Court before your bankruptcy, but you sound like you are on top of things anyway!

    Good luck with everything
