Just been in to WHSmiths today and brought a book. Once i got home i discovered that the lady at the counter had put a voucher in to my bag which gave me £5 OFF any book that is over £10.
The offer is due to start on the 3rd of March and ends on the 9th of March.

How much was the book you bought? Because you might have only got a voucher if you spent over a certain amount spent.. like £10 or something.0

It was Three of Diamonds by Anthony Horowitz for £4.99. I love the Diamond brother series!
So it didn't cost too much.0 -
they always give a voucher to every customer, the voucher is always not valid until the week after... thats how they do it0

Nah, they are children books. I owe a lot to the books as they were the first ones i read of my own free will and that got me in to reading. I have no doubt they led to me being at Uni otherwise i may have strayed down some other path. After reading them i became a regular at the library.
Now I'm 19 years old but i still love a good childrens/teen book and remembered the Diamond Brother series so went out and brought them.
Just Ask For Diamond is now called the Maltesers Falcon (for some reason) and is brilliant.snowqueen555 wrote: »they always give a voucher to every customer, the voucher is always not valid until the week after... thats how they do it
Wow! I never knew that. Kind of cool. I held off buying The Edge Chronicles (another one of my childhood favourites) and was going to buy them all next week but if they hand out vouchers every time you buy a book it might be worth my time buying the hardback versions one by one so i can get £5 off each time. So how often do they hand them out? Is it a random thing or with all book purchases?0
