help needed just contacted cccs????

hi a little ashamed but i have come to a pont where i just cant manage my debt anymore, ive phoned cccs and i have a telephone appointment on the 26th feb, she advised me in the meantime to contact my creditors and ask if payment could be put on hold and cccs will contact them in due coarse they also advised me to take all money from my bank to make sure they cant take the money as i pay all via direct debit and some are loans with the bank, im a little concerened about doing this as if they do try and take the money wont this just get me in more debt as the banks will charge me for returned direct debits and then the bank will just deduct this money as soon as my benefits go in??? also what do i say to the creditors when i ring them? do most of them agree to hold the account??
and also what if i do all this and it turns out cccs cant help me.
sorry for the rambling on but im worried sick.
Sairz xx

Can you not cancel your direct debits on line?

Also you need to start looking for a new bank account if you have loans or cards with the same companies as the one you bank with and then you can arrange for your wages to be paid into the new account.

Believe me the CCCS will be able to help you, there are not many people they can't!

You pay charges on returned dd when you don't have enough funds if you cancel DD then you don't normally have any charges.
  • cancel your direct debits, get a new bank account and arrange for your benefits to be paid into the new account asap.
