A little advice, take a good look at the warranty if you're buying Montfield. I bought one with a dirty great sticker on the mower boasting about the "2 year guarantee". Anyway, to cut a long story short it turned out that the engine wasn't covered by the 2 year warranty, it only has a 12 month warranty.

I had to pay for the parts and fix it myself, imagine buying a car and the manufacturers telling you the engine isn't covered by the same warranty as the rest of it because they use another maufacturer's engine?? In mountfield's case there's not alot more to a petrol mower than a motor so I think it's really poor show.

Mountfield's were really dismissive about the whole thing so I'd definitely look elsewhere if I were you.

Take a look at the Honda selection of lawnmowers. The Honda Izy Lawnmower came top a couple of seasons ago in BBC Gardeners Worlds Test which they do from time to time.

The mowers can be bought from most garden equipment stores as well as through some of the online stores. Also noticed a few cropping up on ebay occasionally.
