Is there any reason to have a second Boots Advantage card? I use the one that's in my husband's name, and I would want to use that most of the time to accrue points on one card. But are there ever good deals that are one per card?
Yes! For example, the giveaways are limited and sometimes offers are limited to being printed a couple/three times per card. Another useful feature of two cards is that if you are using one more than the other, the Total Spend vouchers may well be for different amounts. So check both cards every time and see which offers suit you best. You will also find the offers are different for men and women. e.g. shaving care & "ladies things"
NB - it doesn't seem to matter which name is printed on the ACM vouchers either.0 -
I don't know what all the different ranges are, but I have definitely used one £3 off voucher on the Lomi Lomi giftset - that's not the orange range, if that's what the Covent Garden Range is. I was hoping to use mine against the face wipes, taking them down to 99p - has anyone tried this? TIA
I've used the vouchers against the "orange range" - the old vouchers (exp March) seem to scan OK, but the new ones beep no matter what! SA have different interpretations of what the beeps mean
Just try the old line "but my friend bought one of those on Saturday when we were shopping and they had to get a key to make it work.... It's true! They did it for me on Saturday & Sunday... and a couple of other days... and you are my friend right?0 -
I am lucky...I live on the edge of Edinburgh so I've got five Boots within fifteen minutes of here, including the big one at Fort Kinnaird. And I pass another two or three in the course of an average week of driving around, including Haddington. I don't make any big effort to go to them...just never go past one nowadays!
No Q10 cleansing Lotion as you say though. TBH I'd not buy it just for the sake of it. I don't use Nivea (makes me itch) I'm trying not to buy stuff I won't use. Have to say though that the Accessorize hatbox gift sets from Christmas (£6.25 in 75% off sale) are going down a storm as birthday pressies for my DD's seven and eight year old friends. I wish I'd bought more! I don't think the pink Valentines one is anything near as good.
just out of curiosity which one is your favourite?0 -
Hiya Jo_2k
I knew there was someone else that was near(ish) to me but I'd forgotten who it was, sorry about that
Kingston Retail usually have a tiny clearance shelf; it's where they've stuck the Mother's day display, and now and then they have another shelf near the baby stuff at the back. It's easy to miss though as there's not much on it lol
Kingswood are doing 3 for 2 on S&G miniatures, Elle, fcuk, and Sanctuary, with a gift bag thrown in for each 3 you buy, it's an empty gift bag lol, but free. I'm having a wander to Prospect later, so I'll see if there is anything in there (doubt there will be) and Kingswood. I'll let you know if it's worth going to
I've bought loads of the Soap & Glory but still haven't gotten round to use it - need to use the Sanctuary up first lol, but it seems like most people like it, so I'll try a miniature later.
(We'll all have to text each other - then send a message if there's anything good going on lol)
Ooops, forgot to say that I'd be popping into Kingston Park too, so I'll see if there's any reductions there x
You're a star!! Thank you so much.
Great idea about texting! I will pm you my mobile number if thats ok and you can send me yours too then if we are ever out on the move and see some Bootsy Bargains we can let each other know! :j0 -

Fort has the most product lines but the reduced section is usually non-existent, don't you find? The smaller ones seem to have better pockets of interesting reduced items. Fort and Musselburgh have the nicest staff, Straiton are a bit po-faced. Princes St scares me.........I'm too much of a country gal these days to like the big city!Val.0 -
It wouldn't be a bad idea
I was thinking earlier that when we reach a certain amount, we should be able to 'bank' them somehow. Then there's not so much worry if you lose an advantage card with loads of dosh on it
MIne wasn't loads of points but I left my card in the machine (yes I know) but I did have a screaming 2 year old to tend with ( doesn't quite have Mummys obsession for shopping yet!!) and some "Kind" soul who found my card used 1/2 my points ( only about a tenners worth but heh points are points !!) and was going to treat myself to the illuminated mirror !! so I would welcome some sort of pin number or extra security.

Ok all i am armed and ready to go -lol
Just need some advice.
Im going to Boots later to get the free No.7 gift when you spend £20
I have a free Highlighter voucher, a £5 off No.7 voucher and hope you can tell me which way to do this.
Will be getting 2 mens no.7 items plus the highlighter think it is a total of £24.25 with the highlighter.
Now which way round do i give the vouchers to cashier ? is it all items first - total 24.25 then give the £5 total now 19.25 then the free highlighter voucher - total now 9.25 ?
Is this correct0 -
I'm looking to do the highlights voucher, No 7 item, and gwp, and really want to find the Revitalising Hand Saviour thing. Went to 2 boots yesterday, and couldn't find it. So do not all store stock it, or was I looking in the wrong place - I tried the main No7 stand and then the stand where they have have more items in the range. Any help with what the product is packaged in and where to look for it would be welcomed. I would have asked SA but none around.
Thanks2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000
