They did not ask us to pay for it, neither are they forcing anyone to bid on it.
Why post a link to this or any other auction? I really dont understand, so can you please enlighten me.I am genuinely interested in why this happens.pollsdolls wrote: »I accept that you were responding to op's comment but it was you who posted the link. I really cant understand why you posted a link though.
The way I saw it was you felt it was wrong that they had sold it for 'x' when they had in fact paid only 'y' for it. i.e made a profit
I can't get my head around it because its none of your business or ours. Certainly not on a public site that has an ebay forum. Why not post it there. I still think you were out of order and have reported your post as being innapropriate. I make no apologies and I am being very upfront about it.
How would you feel is I did the same when you posted your items, would you like it? I think not.
Well, my take on this is that it IS interesting, it is Boots related and it's not offensive, so why not? A lot of folk here sell on Ebay to finance the rest of their Bootsing, I expect. I used to do the same as a toy collector. Hobby money. And it was normal to discuss the current state of the market. Links to Ebay auctions often get posted here, normally for coupons but also for auctions if there's something worth remarking on. And this is worth remarking on, imho. It is astonishing why someone with PC access would rather buy an item off Ebay than get it for less on the appropriate .com.
Ebay transactions are also in the public domain, so we're not intruding on anyone's privacy. Can't fault the link on that.
Finally, linking to Ebay might not be 100% on topic to the Boots Grabbit thread, but you could say the same about 90% of what is posted here after all! That's what adds to this particular thread's charm. It goives it a sense of community. However if people start reporting posts too much as "inappropriate to the thread" then the mods are going to sit up and take notice of this little gossip circle and clamp down on it a bit. Which would be a pity for everyone, don't you think?Val.0 -

I agree - and can''t see why hesjane was given quite such a hard time over her post. The nature of the post was not unlike many many others I've seen on this thread in the last few years.0 -
