Is there any chance I can use his card myself, and leave him at home, to later marvel at my hunter/gathering? I can't get away with impersonating a male pensioner, but we share everything else..... Are you allowed to use someone else's card with their permission?

Technically you're not supposed to use it. Tho most SAs will allow you to when you are collecting points, but personally if I had (for example) a lady customer wanting to redeem points on "Mr so and so's" card I wouldn't allow it even if she says he is her husband. I hope you all understand why?0 -

Do people really scrutinise the cards that much?? I dont know anyone who would check a name or sex for that matter on a card before considering putting it through for a customer!!!:heartsmil Engaged 31st May 2008 :heartsmil

I've now been using DH's for years and not had a single problem yet. To be honest I can't see much harm in it as I have his full consent.
Edited to add: I don't know if this is "allowed" so to speak but I check both of our cards on the ACM and print vouchers off from both (there is often different offers on each card) but only use them on DH's card. I've never had a problem with this either. Point's on hubby's card are now £126 (but shhh don't tell him), lol.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -

Well recently a lot on here have been comparing their ad card to a debit card only without the security of a pin.
I said personally I glance at the name before redeeming points because I would not like someone to find my card and use it, and as gender is the biggest giveaway that someone is using someone elses card, I explain to the customer that as it is not their card I cannot accept it as payment, just as I have done many times when signatures had to be checked on debit cards (tho this isn't a big factor anymore since most people insert their cards into the chip & pin reader themselves these days.)0 -

Yes, thinking about it, if my OH lost his card, any odd woman might find it and try to redeem his points.
Even if I can prove that I am married to the card holder, I should also be able to prove beyond doubt that I have his permission before I use it.
And, really, SA's have enough problems in their remit, without having to add relationship analysing, and identity policing to their worries - it also would bring up questions of data protection.
Nah, thanks, Orlaith, I'll just have to drag him along, and give him a big gob stopper to suck!0 -
They should be like Nectar cards where you can have 2 cards for one account.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0

morning all! just a quick question:-(well - in a long-winded way!!)
*if i exchange a product (without a receipt) would I stil get extra 'product promotion' points? eg return something in exchange for a 'soap&glory' - could I use the '200 points wyb any S&G product coupon??/any coupons??/atm offers??........would i get given those extra points?? - can i get the receipt validated so that they can be added on later??
With an exchange is it wise to give them your card or not?? do they take points off when you exchange.....do they add points when you exchange??
thanks for any help!!XX0
