in debt but wanna ask for payrise!?!

after some time now ive managed to save myself over £160 per month through peoples input here which im very thankful for, but now im in the dilema of my job.
just recently some new people have been employed into the same position I hold within the company but on more hourly rate I am, and yet i have more experiance then them in this company and also in the field of working.

when i mentioned it to my manager she said she will speak to the area manager who deals with this all, and he replied saying he unsure at the moment and will get back to my manager which i can't but think the company taking !!!! out of me here.

so how can i be nice enough and basicly say give me a payrise to be on at least par with the rest of the staff.

Yes definatley... I had this problem a couple of years ago...and told them if i really meant that much to them you pay me same or i'm going..they payed me same as other person in the end.

How long ago did you ask for the pay rise? Give them what you feel is fair time to get back to you ie may be a week or a fortnight. Then put your request into writing. Outlining your experience, length of time in company, if you had to show any new staff the ropes, then you have had to train them to fit the companies way of working, and any other atributes you feel you bring to the business. Sometimes it is easier to put things in writing and also it puts things on a more formal footing and that you mean business
