Soda Crystals - Help

Options
I bought a couple of bags of soda crystals as I want to use them in my washing machine. Took make life easier, I poured the contents of both bags into a large storage container.

Problem is a few days on is that the crystals are near solidified. They are as hard as a rock.

Does anyone know what's happened?

Dave

They've absorbed some moisture is all. Always happening to me too, although I'm sure my container is well sealed. Just bash it around and get a lump the volume you want to use. It'll dissolve fine in the machine;)

Next time you put them into a container, try and find one of those silica sachets that comes with new shoes/bags and pop it in the container, that should stop it. The poncey term is hygroscopic :)
