Hi
Does anyone know what I could use these in - not keen on cakes but would like a savory option. - I'm happy to try anything just can't bare to put them in the bin.

I put seeds in my bread, but make my own blend as it usually works out cheaper, most recent batch had pumpkin, sunflower, linseed, hemp, but I have used poppy (gets everywhere!) and sesame. not sure if I have missed any.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. With the sunflower seeds you could add a slug of paprika/chilli, a bit of oil and some dried herbs and roast them in the oven for a bit to make spicy seeds.
I shove seeds in bread too - just a handful of random things from the cupboard - millet and linseed last batch - but sunflower works fine too.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

I make this bread in my BM - it makes a delicious, dense, heavy loaf, great with cheese.
Nutty Seed Bread
3/4 tsp yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
200g wholemeal bread four
150g spelt (or rye) flour
50g porridge oats (or buckwheat)
7tbsp linseeds (or flax or other seeds)
3 tbsp crushed nuts (snigger!)
1 tbsp olive oil
300ml water
1 tbsp milk
Use the wholemeal setting.0 -

Thought I'd use the nuts in stuffing balls and freeze them. Don't have a bread maker - although I think I may be looking to get one soon so that's another great idea.
