Black Horse & Close Assistance

Sorry, but the advice from demented housewife isn't very accurate. As you mention a dealer, then there is no "branch" as such for you to deal with. Blackhorse have a network of finance centres who issue personal loans, but this is unsecured cash loans rather than car finance, and they won't be able to deal with your account.
The dealer will not do anything unfortunately. You need to deal with BH/CA.
Are you 100% sure that you have no arrears on the account? It would be very unusual for an account to be passed on to close assistance purely for fees and charges. I'm not saying its impossible, but its not normal practice.
Close assistance aren't an in house dca either - there is one, but it's not close assistance! Close are external, and will apply further charges for their visits etc which are pretty steep.0 -
But it depends on if you got a HP ( Hire Purchase )or CFP ( Car Finance Package)....
Ifs it a CFP then it would be the branch as they sell these from the branches
Black Horse are designed to do face to face sales.. They dont like to do postal as they have a better chance of getting the customer to sign.
A CFP is a Personal loan with better benifits...Comping & Coupons!0 -
[FONT="]bh/ca have sent my a list of arrears / charges. There are no arrears only collection charges. Can i avoid these?
The loan is a Car Finance Package.

*Bump* Close Assistance are chasing me again despite having cleared the previous arrears and then missed 2 payments to Black Horse.
I have never paid Close Assistance anything? And have pretty much just ignored the heftly charges they have applied for collection charges.
Is there anything that can be done to remove the collection charges?

*Bumpty Bump* This is raising it's ugly head again. I'm not in arrears but over the last few months I haven't paid by the due date & I've been issued with 'default' charges? They now amass £1200+?
