You shouldn't feel guilty about putting the answer in, as the majority of posts do.
Plus the website owner was nice and polite in asking for the answer removed, so no harm done.

Yes and the people running the sites are often mums with children as well just trying to make a living. They run these competitions to try and attract people to visit and if the answer is available for all to see it doesn't actually get people looking at their sites.
There are two sides to every coin and I think your response is more than a little selfish
I try not to put the answers on competitions which I know are small business's WAHP's sites as its not fair on them:D and the person who is running the comp has every right to ask for the answer not to be posted, its fun to have a challenge:Dto be updated:;)0 -
hmmmmmm it does generate a lot of traffic for site and busniess, people clicking on competitions tend to joins sites and look around and perhaps buy things,so i dont really see what the big deal is,as i like i say its generating lots of traffic to sites. It`s getting to the point0

It does generate more business when the entry form is online though - I just ordered £30 worth of candles & incense from a site I was on to enter a comp - would never have heard of it without the competition, so if any small site owners see this, it's probably better to avoid email entries if possibleAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½
