Oh no, please don't give me the 'it also helps the planet' stuff..:o

Why not! It won't save it as such but if it helps slow the rate at which it's warming up then so be it! That's why so many of us here don't always pull the loo chain after a wee!!!:D

Apart from that - welcome to the Forum!

    Thanks for the welcome Sue.
Been here a while though, (May 2004) just mostly browsing.

Because the planet isn't in need of saving, it is the human race that will die, not the planet. As soon as mother nature has had enough of us she will wipe us out. The important creatures, insects, will still be here and the planet will heal in little time.
Do you realise that the ONLY creatures that would benefit this place if they became extinct is us?
So, save money, but, have fun and do as you like (just like 'the powers that be', you know, the hypocrites that tell us to save energy and then fly to hot climates for a meeting!), there is no stopping the inevitable now i'm afraid!!:A
  • I agree with the above! The planet has been changing temperatures for billions and billions of years.. the Ice Age being just one example..! The planet would be warming up with or without our help..!! So back to the freebie, has anyone received this yet? x
  • Many thanks - link worked for me :T
  • I got mine free from B&Q too :)

The powers that be must please themselves and live with their consciences, all those who believe it's not happening too, but the fact is that it's the alarming rate at which it's all changing that's of greatest concern. I would sooner act now and try my best to help (and be proved wrong later) than live with the thoughts of thinking I could perhaps have done something to make a difference.....if I'd only given it all some credence and tried.

    Each to our own views.

Ha ha, they've got you, so you think politicians have consciences huh? :o

Nothing that you or I do will make even a jot of difference. For every bottle you recycle, they throw away ten. For every light you switch off, they leave ten on. I understand your concern, I had that view a while back, but after watching what they do and the laws they pass I was fighting a losing battle, but, good on yer for having a go. As you say, everyone to their own.

Cheers, I just ordered mine. The most tempting thing though for those who don't believe in a 3 minute shower (like moi) would just be to reset it! No?

I don't believe I could have showered and washed my hair in 3 minutes when my hair was waist length, so I'm not expecting DS3 to manage it while his hair is waist length, but it could be useful for DS2 who's got it short and DS1 who's had his all shaved off! IF DS1 ever comes home from Uni and shows me ...

Anyway, the link in post 1 has just worked fine for me.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Its great, like a shower exercise, you have to be so fast trying to wash yourself before it pings! The Shower-Fasta Diet!

    Thanks OP!
