I got on pretty well when I had my free trial from Lovefilm, I am with Blockbuster at the moment on a 6 week free trial we won through Stella Artois - and they are a lot worse!
I think Screenselect have been the best so far, and I like the fact that you can read & write reviews for the films on their site.

I agree love film were great; I am with blockbusters at the moment - not so good. I feel out of control with bb cause I dont know when my billing date is and I had to check with my bank How much it was because the information aint clear on their site. Not tried screenselect yet...
It's better to travel hopefully than arrive...

Im on a free trial at the moment, if I hadnt messed up the timing at the
start with weekend postage I could of had 28 Dvds watching one a day,
Ive fixed it up a bit now, its annoying how they prioritise customers who
dont use the service as much but I suppose I cant complain
  • I cant believe this - i found blockbuster the best service.
They work weekends unlike the others
Maybe because I watch and send my dvds back quickly which lovefilm does not like. i was waiting a week for lovefilm.

i am currently using lovefilm for the third time with a different credit card and email.

i found screen select the second best and lovefilm a very poor third.

I can't comment on Blockbusters working weekends - apart from to say that DVDs I have posted back first thing on a Friday have never been processed and replaced until Mon or Tues of the following week. But last week I didn't get replacements until Friday for the 3 films I had posted back the previous Friday and Saturday. I also got an email on the Tuesday asking me to put more films on my list because they claimed not to have any of the 57 titles on my list available to send - but when I emailed to complain about this, and politely suggest that they buy some more stock, they emailed back to say that they had been upgrading their technology that day and that their email had been sent out to me in error - if this is the case why did it take them a week to replace my films? My guess is that due to a combination of the extremely hot weather, and special price multi-packs of Stella Artois in supermarkets people have been buying and drinking a lot more Stella Artois and winning the 'free 6 week prizes' which have perhaps been taken up more quickly, and more widely than Blockbuster had anticipated. - Either that or they are just C**P?!

  • Just finished with them last week & swoped to Tesco's. Tesco's is 2p more a month but I get 13 points back on my clubcard each month so it's cheaper in the long run. Has anyone ever done 2 different companies at the same time?
2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!
