            Yes, but the WTR have NOTHING to do with an employee's entitlement to paid leave!
 Yes, they have to pay someone to cover shifts whenever someone's not there, and that person is also entitled to holiday pay, but that's life! And they need to deal with it!

 no need to apologise sue , its just im currently going thorugh grievance procedures with my work regarding the amount of holiday pay i get and ive been referring to the berr website and sought their advice which the cab told me to do, so when i read the title of this thread i thought aha....i may know something which will help the op, and its not often im useful :rotfl::rotfl:Bring back mark and lard NOW! or else (please) clique member no. 10 :j

            thanks all, i got offered the job but decided best not to accept, as they are clearly breaking the law. am i right that you get 24 days holiday per year but if you do not work bank holidays then they take the 8 bank holidays off your holiday entitlement, leaving 16 days holiday a year.....
 can you opt out and request not to be paid for bank holidays, so that you can have the 24 days when you want ??0

 I am not sure what you mean by 'do not work bank holidays' - do you mean the business is never open on BHs?
