Just a quick question to you all............
I have just pegged some washing out eventually after breaking about 5 pegs in the process:rolleyes: what pegs do you all use? I am not too keen on the wooden ones as I have found they mark some of my clothes

Eventually plastics do go brittle on the whole, the fact that pegs spend time in the sunshine doesn't help. I haven't got a line at the mo, which is a pest, the new sitting room is on the patio where the line was, but we haven't got round to sorting out the new line!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. I find plastic 'dolly' pegs are the best as they don't mark the washing, are best at keeping it on the line when it's very breezy, and don't have those spring things in them to go ping. I never leave pegs on the line and keep them indoors when not in use and they last for years.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Oooh I never keep pegs on the line either! I find it really irritating when people do that. Do they think they are being helpful?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

My mother hated for us to leave pegs on the line when we were bringing in the washing - and I've got the same way now! She used to say it looked as if somebody had stolen the clothes from the line (which happened when she moved to a new housing estate - mid 50's - before the fences were put up to mark the garden boundaries).
OH leaves them out there every time - I'm sure it's done to annoy me for asking him to do it!!! Pegs are kept in a container on the worktop by the back door - handy if we have to run out quick cos of rain!0 -
I do keep mine indoors in a little cream peg container, I am going on a peg hunt this afternoon to find some without the springs, I woner if focus or somewhere like that sells them?0

I think I saw dolly pegs in Wilkinsons the other day - I find they tend to have things like that. Great shop.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

I prefer wooden pegs, although I have some plastic too. I always take them off the line and keep them in a peg bag and they last for years and don't seem to mark the clothes.0
