Hello,
I am desperately trying to get hold of a cheap disposable helium gas canister to fill about 50 balloons. I live in the north west of england.
Any ideas????

Not sure whether this is cheap (£45) http://heliumuk.co.uk/ - sure I read somewhere that florists stock helium (seems strange to me, but think it was when I was fancying an indoor airship)0

If it is for a school fete or charity event try asking your local Brewsters or Wacky Warehouse or similar.
They have helium canisters to fill their own balloons and will often loan it to you free of charge for the day. They may also give you free balloons to fill (with their own logo on of course).
Hope this helps0 -
Not sure if this helps, but think I remember seeing helium for sale in Birthdays and also ASDA for around £20 to £25 a cylinder, though can't be 100% sure (wasn't really looking for helium at the time) and also not sure how much helium the cylinders hold.
Apologies if I'm mistaken, hopefully somebody may be able to confirm/deny these prices.0 -

I own a florist, we have helium as we often send out balloons with flowers. Unfortunately we are in the north east. For reference we charge 50p for blowing up a balloon.
One thing to bear in mind though, make sure your balloons are suitable for filling with helium as not all are. If they're not they'll deflate within a few hours. Leave till as late as possible to fill them as well.0 -
Asda certainly have small helium cylinders, with balloons with stoppers and ribbon tied on for about £20. Look in the party section, the lid of the box is green if I remember and it's about 40-50 cm high.Waddle you do eh?0
