I wanna stupidly cheap mobile

Hi,

I'm going to be doing a bit of freelance work starting in the coming weeks, which will mean that my contact details will need to be advertised in the public domain.

What I'd like to do is buy an extremely cheap PAYG mobile, which needs to offer nothing more than the ability to answer a call, and just give this number out. The reasoning behind this is that I can just turn the phone off when it wouldn't be convenient to take the calls, which I unfortunately cannot do with my primary phone as it's used for my full time job too.

Anyway, the cheaper the better please ;) (Seem to remember some for a fiver around xmas?)

Cheers,

  • I think Tesco are still doing Nokia 1112 for 20 quid (and maybe some other cheapie models), with free 10 quid airtime. Ok, ok, its over your budget (!!) but its a great little phone, v good battery life.

    Cheers,

I saw some in Asda yesterday, think they were Sagem(?) did not take too much notice of the the phone name but the price was £10. They were on the Virgin network, as I remember wondering if they would be unlocked as a lot of Virgin phones are.
