Can I buy an Argos warranty a few days later

Hi all,
I recently bought the Acoustic Twin Screen DVD player for the car from Argos, I was offered the option to buy an extended warranty with accidental damage but I didn't bother at the time. If I now go into Argos days later will I be able to buy the warranty?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers.

Yes you can i bought my son a Wii in November and was asked if i wanted extended warrenty! At the time i didn't have enough cash on me so the lady said oh it's ok you have 40 - 45 days to come back(can't remember exactly now but around there somewhere definatly:o:D) So i went back the 2nd week of December with my receipt and bought the 3year warrenty with 1 year accidental cover no problems at all!:)
HTH
Thought for today:-
There comes a time in your life when you realise who matters, who used to matter and those that never did;)
:T Now facing my debts instead of hiding from them!:T
Thanks to everyone on here than has helped me through my darkest days!:D0 -

Extended warranties are a waste of money, in this case 31.25% of the current purchase price.
I bought it for 59.99, so the warranty I think was only an extra tenner, will pop in tomorrow to try and buy one.0 -
you have 45 days from the date of purchase to take out insurance cover. with small items such as in car entertainment systems the store may ask you to return the item to the store before they will sell you the insurance to check that it isnt damaged (ie to prevent fraudulent insurance claims).
the main advantage with the cover is the accidental damage cover, which is not offered by the sale of goods act that albertross mentions. i believe in car entertainment would come under breakdown cover irrespective of its cost, which offers accidental damage cover for the first year. if there is an appropriate section for them under replacement product cover, and they cost less than £150, then you would get 3 years accidental damage cover. i do suspect it would come under breakdown cover though.
hope that helps.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

this is from there web site
Taking out Replacement Product Cover
Replacement product cover can be brought on products purchased online and in store within 45 days of purchasing the product you wish to cover providing the product is still in good working order. If you are purchasing Replacement product cover in-store at a later date (within 45 days of purchasing the product) you will need to bring the item and the receipt(s) back into store.0 -

16.5% in this case
