Scared

Well its been 2 weeks that my OH has been unemployed for and he hasn't applied for any jobs yet. He has found 1 he's interested in, so rang them last Wed 6th, they had no vacanies at the time, but said they would send out an application form and keep it on file. Come Monday 11th, no application form, so he rang them, they said they sent it Friday 8th. Ok we thought, he'll get it soon.

Well its 1 week later, no application form and now a job is available at the company as we saw the vacancy yesterday on the job centre website. He rang the company, the guy he needed to speak to was busy, so they took our number, said they get him to ring back, he never did.

Do they not want him?? It's his old job. My OH thought he'd give them a try seeing as though seen a few people lately he used to work with, that left the company, but have since gone back.

OH got his Mum to ring up and ask for an application, see if she gets one and he'll fill it out.

But 2 weeks have gone soooo quick, it will soon turn into a mth and then another and another  and i do not know how long we can survive on my wage alone.

Like my sig says, have quiet a lot of debt. A house that has no equity in yet, as only lived here a year. Will not be able to pay into the DMP, except £1 each creditor, will only 'just' be able to live, but if anything blows up, or breaks down etc, really stuffed for cash then.

Im scared, worried, fell ill, this could continue for ages and could ultimately fall behind in bill payments or worst of all mortgage payments......

What do i do......

Not a nice place to be at all CD.

Can OH sign up for agency work in the mean-time . Anything, driving, warehouse, office work, whatever he can to get some money coming in. Also get him doing eagerlearner and chevs survey and clicks sites. Only a few quid a month but..

Also are you signed up to www.freecycle.org. It is like e-bay but the goods are given away free. Then if something packs up, you have a reasonable chance of gettign a free replacement to tide you over.

  • Can you post up a Statement of Affairs so that we can help you to reduce your expenses in the meantime. There is a sticky at the top which willl help you to do this.

Has your OH signed up for Jobseekers allowance? Have you got anything you can sell on ebay or carboot to get in some extra cash?
