Three defaults from 2004

Just got my credit files/records and I have 3 defaults from 2004 is it worth offering full and final settlements or leaving them alone? everything since is fine no problems.
Although one of the defaults is registered with B/card then again with a debt collection agency - from whom I have heard nothing so why does it show twice?
I suppose my other question is, is it better to have the defaults still showing or full and final settlements.
Thanks in advance

I don't know the answer to this but someone else may. Common sense tells me it would be better to offer them a settlement, but I could be wrong! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
