setting up a new account

As a few of you may know i am starting a DMP soon i feel like i am never off this site just recently as i am worrying like mad about everything .

I am trying to open up a new bank account away from my creditors i did it online at the beginning of the week .I rang up to the bank the next day see whether everything was ok ,whether they where going to let me open an account with them ,they told me to go into my local branch .I was happy when i went as they said it had been opened i signed an agreement but the man did say wait until i get a letter confirming this through the post before transfering any DD from my old bank .

It has only been a week i know but i have got no letters from them ,no bank cards or anything so i rang again today ,they told me to phone again early next week for an update .

I am worrying again the man at the branch seemed to be saying its all set up just wait for your cards but now i am confused whether something has gone wrong and they are now now letting me open an account .

Carlos, my OH had to open a new account and like you, was not sure what was happening for a couple of weeks but it was fine. They just take a little while getting all the paperwork sorted out. I think if they were going to refuse the account you would know by now.

I know how worrying all this is at the moment, but everything will fall into place eventually.
