    Right, i've decided to just put my latest job title in

    And if the person screening doesn't read through them properly, you aren't highlighting your best point - that you were promoted!

    Seriously, that someone saw fit to promote you is worth it's weight in gold; from an employer's point of view - it means you come with the potential to learn and develop.

    You need to make it as easy as possible for anyone reading your CV what it is you are offering; being backward about coming forward doesn't get you the job in a lot of cases.

  • On the flip-side, I've only had one job since university, and it is obvious from my current job title (and the length of time I ahve spent at my current company) that I will ahve progressed from what was essentially a graduate role to what I am now - I think it must really depend on the situation - perhaps I will feel differently about it if I chose to move jobs.
  • or.. i'm really brilliant and i was suddenly hired out of university to become a Research Fellow, followed by a Senior Analyst. Woo, i'm great.
