Am I a first time buyer?

Hi everyone
This will sound dim: but am I a FTB?
I'm abiut to be divorced and (fingers crossed) removed from my old IF mortgage, receiving a lump sum as a clean break from my ex.
So I'll have no mortgage and a deposit ready to buy.
Will I qualify for first time buyer deals? I don't want to lie to lenders obviously, but I do want to take advantage of FTB deals.
all help appreciated

you are NOT a FTB, but don't worry most deals/incentives are based on equity/ deposit rather than FTB status these daysAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Thanks Payless!
I'll be sure to mention the money I (fingers crossed) will get from my share of my house, then.

Generally, First Time Buyer deals are pretty crap value anyway, if they are packaged as FTB deals. What you have going for you is the equity and a more comprehensive credit history than First Time Buyers anyway, so fire away and tell them the full story.I am a Mortgage Adviser
