PayPal advice...

my boyfriend is trying to buy something by using paypal. but it says he has gone past his £500 he is allowed to use. yes its true he has bought alot of things in the past but now its refusing to let him use it . is there anyway of getting round this? or will he have to be a 'special' member of sum kind.

    I have never heard if this - have you tried posting on the ebay board? they may have more experience about this type of thing.

    I remember reading something on PAYPAL's website and once you have reached the £500 limit you have to upgrade to the next level up. I think under that you are classed as using it for personal use and then over that figure business. Its definately on their website.

    He has reached a pre set limit of which if he sets up a Direct Debit he will become varified then Paypal will increase the limit.

    He could set up another account and register a different card but be careful as Ebay have a strict policing policy in some areas of which if they suspect some thing dodgy ( of which this is'nt ) it will flag up, they may suspend the account until they are satified that your boyfriend is the bonified user.Unless you set up an account to avoid any problems.
