Could I claim?

Hello again everyone and many thanks to all of you that have dropped me kind words and support.

I am going through my debt and looking at ways to work the system. I have an HSBC card with and insurance protection on it. I was wondering if it woud be best to try and claim and get the insurance to kick in and pay for the card, or to cancel it and save that way. I am self employed and I can't find any thing in the the t's & c's to say I can't claim? Has anyone, self employed made an effective claim?

Also the other thing I would like to know is; I have made my creditors aware of my difficulties and in the process of submitting a financial statement and prorata offers. I can I still investigate the opportunity to reclaim charges?

Anyone that has had experience of these issues I'd be glad to hear from you. All the best to you all - keep at it...
