HP 530 laptop - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" £306

HP laptop, can't see it anywhere else for a similar price.

And I know, it needs more memory, as it comes with Vista; and you can probably get a better spec DELL for the same money; but if you prefer HP...

Dont wana be rude by why the heck would anyone want an overpriced HP over a dell.

I can find a far better specced dell, ie 4 times more ram 50% bigger hard drive better processor etc etc for around the £300 mark.

One other issue 512mb ram running vista would be painful to say the least

Not really moneysaving in my eyes.

    all the best

Yes i like the spec that you get for the money at dell....but based on my experiences with dell i think their cs and complete package are very poor...i had better service from HP....so as the OP said.......if you prefer HP its one of the more reasonably priced units.
