Good luck with this, I would say though that the Hungry Horse is already REALLY cheap, and very good value IMHO, so maybe there's not much chance of any more money off?

we have 2 in peterborough and i've also been to the one in aylesbury and ive never had a problem with any of them.. huge plates at cheaper prices great value for money.. like most places if you eat when they really busy the service can be slow but ive never had to complain abt the food..

Well, I certainly wouldn't go there for a special romantic meal, and I wouldn't bother with the steak either - but for cheap and cheerful, with a lot of children or a group of mates, I think they are excellent value.

oh well no luck here then,i dont mind the place, it is good value for money and you get nice large portions, good for my fella anyway.
the service can be a bit slow, but suppose it is like anywhere when it is busy.

Down here in the wilds of Suffolk we had a voucher pushed through the door for a £5 off 2 large meals and a voucher for free pint or free glass of wine. Hungry horse chain are cheap and cheerful, sometimes good sometimes bad, very often good when a new manager starts.

I ate at the one near Thorpe Park once on a vey busy summer's night. We were given a prime table in a small room right at the top of the building. My steak was cooked to perfection - medium rare as I'd requested and was tender and flovoured - in fact one of the best I'd tasted and I normally buy prime Aberdeen Angus from a small butcher. Shortly after we went to another one near Southampton - It rated as one of the worse meals I'd ever had - My steak had to be changed 3 times and even then it was like overcooked shoe leather - the service was even worse and many item were off the menu.

The moral of the story - If you have a good experience don't go back and let them spoil it.
