Where to buy cheapest wine

Can anybody give me some ideas on where to buy the cheapest wine possible? I've been looking online but they don't seem all that cheap to me. Somebody has mentioned getting it from Makro but i've never been there so wouldn't know. I'm not looking to buy a huge amount, just a few cases. So if anyone can give me some pointers, either buying online or in the shops I would be very grateful.

Strangely I've bought my wine from Waitrosewine.com - with online offers (£6 - 25% and a further 5% case discount), discount codes (-£10 and free delivery) and cashback (5%) it's somehow under £3 a bottle for decent wine!

When do you need it for? We bought all of ours from Tesco just before Xmas when they we're doing 25% off when you bought 6 or more bottles, even over existing offers. Ended up getting really decent champagne for £8 a bottle and Torres wine (which I love) for £3 a bottle. Bargain!

sainsburys online but in calais, mucho cheap plonk beer n fizz but only good if you live in kent ish!!
Check it out online, someone might be going and could get it for you and you get nectar points!!!!

Majestic have 20% off on South African and South of France wines at the moment (if you buy two bottles or more - which you are).

Also might be worth a look at an introductory offer online - I haven't looked recently, but virgin wines and at least one of the newspapers that have wine clubs have done them. I think possibly The Times or/and The Daily Telegraph. Laithwaites also comes to mind.

I think there is also some stuff on the main part of the MSE site about getting free wine if you switch electricity and gas suppliers - click on the Utilities tab to see if its still there.
