Cooked beef - What can I do with it?

Options
Hi all,

We have half a joint of roast beef left from the weekend any ideas what we can do with it for tonights dinner?

We've had the usual cold meat with veg, mash and gravy, but would like some more ideas please.

Thanks

Cut the beef into fine strips and stir fry it with some beansprouts and other veg, and add a chinese sauce. Black bean goes lovely with beef.
Here I go again on my own....
  • That's a great idea.
I think I have enough veg to use and I know there are some noodles in the cupboard.

Linguine, cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli, drizzled with olive oil works for me.

I've successfully used cooked beef in the slow cooker - treat it just like raw beef (except you don't need to brown it) and you have a lovely stew at the end of the day

  • Peppercorn sauce with some added mushrooms and then stir through some tagliatelle?

I always get this at the italian :) well it's made with steak but same principle
  • I put the beef and an onion in a processor and blitz it. Then add some leftover gravy and a spoonful of pickle (eg branston)to bind it together and some flour if the texture isn't stiff enough. Shape the resulting mixture into patties and fry in hot oil on both sides. The quantities are really down to personal taste and what leftovers you have.

It's a recipe from my Granny who was an original old style money saver. I loved it as a kid and my two love it now.

Not a healthy option, but a nice treat.
