Hi,
I work for a company called Xansa Plc. In 2002 around 70 employees from British Telecom in mcr were Tuped over with our original terms and conditions and some people opted to freeze their BT pension and others transferred it over. When I joined the xansa pension scheme looked after by SBJ of London we made out an expression of wish form - stating who we wanted the beneficiary to be to receive the pension after death in service. Now many of us have asked for this form so we can check and change details and Xansa and SBJ have admitted they do not have the form that we filled in of the year 2002.
And that I have to send a new one. Who would be responsible for this and who regulates the actions of the company as I would like to complain about the company Xansa who I believe are at fault as they have lost other information as well.:shhh:

Hi.
In the first place you need to complain to the scheme administrators (in writing) and also copy it to the pension manager at Xansa.
If you do not get a satisfactory response then try either of these:
The Pensions Regulator
Napier House
Trafalgar Place
Brighton
East Sussex
BN1 4DW
or
Pensions Ombudsman
11 Belgrave Road
London
SW1V 1RB
or the data commissioner (sorry don't have an address)
However I would not expect any of these to do anything significant (go "Tut Tut" and slap on the wrist) unless either party has a history of doing things like thisI have worked for 5 years as a Pension Administrator and then a further year in a non-administrator pension role. I am not (and never have been) an adviser. Do not take anything I say as advice, it is information given on the best of my knowledge.0 -
The main thing though, is to get the new form in so the Trustees of the scheme know what your wishes are. Then check with them to make sure they have received it.0
