Hi wondered if anyone can advise?? Have applied to reclaim charges from LloydsTSB. As everyone else we are awaiting the test case results!! Problem I have at the moment is...
We have not used the account that we are claiming charges for, since 3rd June 2007. Balance was £zero. 1st July Lloyds took charges of £35. Have still not used account but we now have a balance of £420 o/d with £240 to be added to the account in March!!! All of this is charges, We did get letters,(only 2) and my husband spoke to them and said we were in no position to pay money into account, (as I had just been made redundant and was not eligible for redundancy pay) Account was left and obviously the bank have charged us daily. I spoke to an advisor last week, Who advised me to write a letter of complaint to customer services, he said they may well refund the charges. Just don't know what to write and don't want to ruin any chances we may have by writing a nonsense letter. Can anyone help me please??? Thanks Loulew

Not sure what you should write but there should be some template letters somewhere on this iste. when I was in dispute with Lloyds I found I didnt get replies to my letters until I started to register them, it costs a bit more than normal postage but for me was worth it as I won in the end ( took 6 months though!) Lloyds will use any delaying tactics they can! if you phone them make sure you get the name of the person you are speaking to and keep copies of any letters you write. eventually my case got passed to their complaints dept and i dealt with the same person each time which made things easier. good luck0
