Council Tax Refund for old property?

Hi
I recently used the sites suggested on MSE to calculate the council tax band we are currently in and it is correct, however I thought out of interest I would run through the same exercise for our previous property (we moved December 2006) and yep you guessed it - Wrong bracket for 8 Years  !!!
I don't suppose there is any chance of getting a refund for previously paying too much even though we no longer own the house???

Gutted is an understatement!
:j Mortgage Free!! )
Generally trying to cut back where possible :j

Not really, but if you could persuade the new owner to appeal and win, you might well then be able to claim a refund back to a certain date, if they win.
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!
