Recently, I received charges on my card (Marbles, that is now paid off) for some on-line transactions that 'rightly or wrongly' I don't believe I should have received.
What would be the best way to eat into the companys profits?
As I have now paid off the money, I was thinking along the lines of making a negligable purchase with the card of something around £1 (if possible), and paying it back so that effectively the cost to administer my account is greater than what they will be making from me (which should be zilch!)
Any ideas where I can use my cc for such small amounts, also, what's the best way to do this?

What's the point ? You will cause yourself more hassle than them. They have automated systems to deal with your small purchase and issuing of bills. You will be the one who has to make the insignificant purchase and then make sure you make a minimum payment and pay it off. My advice would be to put it down to experience, forget about it and move on.

Hi FTD,
The best advise, as the other posters have suggested, is just to be cool
I often tend to look at these things in terms of 'What can I gain and what can I lose?'. What can you gain? Absolutely nothing - they won't even notice your efforts. What can you lose? Your valuable time, which would be better spent doing something that you enjoy rather than doing something that you are likely to find stressful. Let it go and move on
If, on the other hand, you want to make some money back from them then you might want to consider Martin's article. Don't do this in anger though - it requires a clear head otherwise ... they win again!«««¤ Richie ¤»»»0 -
One example of where a very small amount can be charged to your CC is i-tunes.
I've had of a couple of CC Bills for only 79p!
Minimum payment is £1.00 however so I pay a minimum of £1.58 knowing I'll be purchasing more songs next month.Old Saying Once bitten twice shy

Thx for your quick replies.
I already use my egg card for 'stoozing', thx anyway.
My feeling was, after complaining to them and them upholding thier decision (not to refund me the charges)
there must be some way that 'use' of the card could, at the very least, stimulate them into offering me incentives to become a better customer (to them) If you see what I mean.0 -
