Can anyone recommend some wide plate hair straightners?

Hi,
I'm looking to buy some new hair straightners to replace mine that have just broken. I was trying not to spend much after Christmas and was hoping somebody on here could point me in the right direction for finding some to replace them.
What I'm after is a pair of reasonably priced hair straighters but they need to have wide plates as I have long, thick hair. I've tried looking in the Argos sale leaflets (which is where I got my old ones from) but nearly all are the narrow plates and these are no good for my hair. The only ones I found from there that have the wide plates are still £40 in the sale and I was hoping to pay less than this if possible.
I don't know of any websites that I could look for some from, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks.

I have remington nano gold straighteners and would recommend them in a flash. My hairdresser is the face of remington so did advise me to buy them (although he doesn't sell them in the salon - he sells ghd's!) They are at least half the price and are amazing!
Hope this helps0 -

I think the Remingtons ones are the same ones Argos have in the sale but they are £6 cheaper on Amazon! Thanks for the link, I wouldn't have thought of trying Amazon!
I'm going to order myself some as they seem what I'm looking for and its £6 saved anyway!
Thanks everyone. :-)0 -
Hi,
My hair is a nightmare because it's so thick! I got a pair of striaghtners from Aldi just before Christmas for £19.99 and they are really good - even people at work commented on how good they must be! They come on a charging stand and can be used cordless or corded. They also have an adjustable temperature range.
Anyway, our local Aldi still has some left over and they have now reduced them to £14.99 - might be worth asking.
Hope this helps,
CtC0
